Summary
Arisu and his friends run into a public bathroom to hide from the police, but when they reemerge, the streets of Tokyo are suddenly completely empty.
Our Take
A fast, punchy opener that gets Arisu and his buddies into the empty Tokyo mystery within minutes, which I appreciated. The setup is familiar if you’ve seen any survival-game stories, and the characters lean a bit generic, but the eerie quiet of the city sells it. Worth your time as a quick hook, even if it doesn’t surprise yet.
