Summary
After the U.S.S. Discovery goes down hard on a strange planet, the crew finds themselves racing against time to repair their ship. Meanwhile, Saru and Tilly embark on a perilous first contact mission in hopes of finding Burnham.
Our Take
A solid crash-landing episode that leans on atmosphere over action, and it mostly works. The mystery planet stuff is moody and well shot, though some of the repair-the-ship urgency feels like busywork. Saru gets a nice moment in command and the closing reveal lands well. Not a flashy hour, but a confident one that sets up the season without spinning its wheels. Worth your time.
