The McLusky family brokers peace in a Michigan prison town where the economy is incarceration. Jeremy Renner’s fixer is a man doing ugly work because no one else will, and the series is the darkest thing in the Sheridan universe: no cowboys, no gold sunsets, just institutional rot and the violence it needs to survive.
It is heavy, sometimes to a fault, but the prison politics are unlike anything else on TV, and Renner grounds every scene. A bleak, committed crime drama.
