Summary

When the neighboring city of Eagleton puts up a fence around one of their parks, Leslie must get her former best friend to take it down. Meanwhile, Ron tries to stop Leslie from planning a birthday party for him.

Our Take

Leslie facing off against her Eagleton counterpart is a great premise, and the guest casting makes the rivalry feel genuinely personal rather than just cartoonish. The Ron birthday subplot is the real highlight though, with his panic over being celebrated paying off with one of the season’s best visual gags. A strong midseason episode that’s worth the twenty minutes.
