Our Take
A surprisingly serious episode for a toy commercial, digging into how Optimus Prime and Megatron became enemies through a time-travel framing device. The origin story stuff genuinely lands, and Orion Pax’s transformation into Optimus carries real weight. The animation is as rough as ever, but this is one of the few G1 episodes with actual emotional stakes, making it worth a look even for casual fans.
