Episode Summary & Review
Summary
Megatron plans to drill his way to Earth’s core in hopes of getting large amounts of energy. The Autobots try to stop him and initiate their new plan to take control over Devastator. When both sides battle for controlling Devastator, though, it causes disaster.
Our Take
A pretty average midseason outing that leans hard on Devastator as the selling point. The tug-of-war over the giant actually produces some fun chaos in the back half, but the first twenty minutes are mostly drilling machines and generic laser fights. Wheeljack’s gadget of the week adds a little charm. Fine if you’re already watching season two, nothing to seek out otherwise.
