Episode Summary & Review
Summary
The Titans meet a young girl named Terra who has the power to levitate Earth. Beast Boy falls madly in love with her and they offer her the chance to become a Teen Titan, but she is hiding a secret and only Slade knows the truth.
Our Take
A slow-burn character episode that mostly works because Terra is genuinely likable, even if her “mysterious secret” telegraphing gets heavy-handed by the halfway mark. Beast Boy’s crush is sweet rather than annoying, which is a small miracle. Worth watching for the setup it lays down, since the payoff comes later and hits hard.
