Spider’s Game

Episode Summary & Review

Summary

Tarantulas and Blackarachnia attempt to make a third spider Predacon using a crashed stasis pod, but end up creating Inferno, an insane fire ant Predacon.

Our Take

Inferno’s debut is a genuinely funny hour, mostly because the poor bot comes out of his pod convinced he’s an actual soldier ant, worshipping his “queen.” That delusion gives the show its best running joke of the season and a villain who’s more entertaining than threatening. The middle stretch drags a bit with stasis pod logistics, but the character payoff makes it an easy watch.
