Episode Summary & Review
Summary
The Predacons steal the Energon shielding system from the Axalon. The Maximals are forced to stay in beast mode, and the instincts of their animal counterparts begin to take over.
Our Take
A fun premise episode that leans into body horror more than you’d expect from a Saturday morning cartoon, as the Maximals slowly lose their minds to animal instinct. The pacing sags in the middle with a lot of growling and padding, but the psychological unraveling keeps it interesting. Worth a watch for the creepy atmosphere alone, even if the resolution arrives too easily.
