Episode Summary & Review
Summary
After a crewman is murdered, Tuvok decides to try and understand what drives a person to commit violent crimes. He uses a mind meld on the killer and starts to have violent tendencies of his own.
Our Take
This is a dark, gripping hour carried almost entirely by Tim Russ and a genuinely creepy Brad Dourif. The mind meld premise could have been silly, but both actors sell Tuvok’s unraveling so well that you forget how thin the mystery around the murder actually is. It drags a bit in the middle, but the ending lands. Worth your time.
