Summary
A painful chapter in Neelix’s past is reopened when the scientist responsible for killing his family beams aboard Voyager.
Our Take
A surprisingly heavy Neelix episode, and Ethan Phillips actually earns his spot on the cast here. James Sloyan brings a weary dignity to the war criminal scientist that keeps the moral dilemma from feeling too tidy. The ending leans on a sci-fi twist it doesn’t need, but the emotional core holds up. Worth your time, even if you usually skip the Neelix hours.
