Episode Summary & Review
Summary
A mysterious woman arrives on DS9 and encourages Jake to begin writing a novel. Lwaxana Troi, pregnant with a son, unexpectedly visits Odo and asks him to help her escape her husband.
Our Take
A middling hour that splits its attention between two odd-couple stories. Lwaxana and Odo’s plot has some genuine warmth and a few good laughs, but the Jake subplot feels like a weak Twilight Zone premise that telegraphs its ending early. Watchable, but skip it if you’re pressed for time.
