Episode Summary & Review
Summary
Quark feels threatened when a charming con artist arrives on the station and opens up a competing bar and casino on the Promenade. Meanwhile, Chief O’Brien is determined to beat Doctor Bashir at racquetball.
Our Take
A lightweight hour that mostly works as background noise. The probability-altering con man plot is thin, but watching Quark sweat over a rival is genuinely fun, and the O’Brien/Bashir racquetball feud finally gives their odd-couple friendship something to chew on. Nothing here changes anything, but it’s an easy, pleasant watch.
