Summary
During refurbishment, Miles O’Brien unknowingly triggers a formerly dormant Bajoran underground booby trap that releases a potentially fatal virus throughout the station.
Our Take
A decent plague-of-the-week hour that leans on watching the station fall apart rather than on any real tension. The aphasia gimmick is fun for about ten minutes, then it mostly becomes people wandering corridors and mumbling. Odo and Kira get a few good moments, and the pacing holds together better than most early DS9. Fine filler, nothing you’ll remember next week.
