Our Take
This one starts with a genuinely unsettling cold open, then settles into a mystery that never quite pays off. The Worf and Troi romance feels bolted on, though Michael Dorn and Marina Sirtis at least commit to it. The twist lands with more of a shrug than a jolt. Watchable, and the atmosphere is nicely moody, but it’s a middle-tier episode you’ll forget by next week.
