Our Take
The famous half-black, half-white faces episode, and the allegory is about as subtle as a phaser on stun, but Frank Gorshin and Lou Antonio sell their mutual hatred with real conviction. The ending lands harder than you’d expect from a show this old. It’s preachy and stagey, sure, yet the message still gets under your skin fifty years later.
