Episode Summary & Review
Summary
Batman traces a series of bizarre robberies on the streets of Gotham back to a band of homeless children, who have been raised to do the bidding of their master, the Sewer King.
Our Take
This one leans on a cartoonish villain with a ridiculous voice, and the Sewer King never feels like a real threat. The episode wants to say something about neglected kids, and a few scenes with the children land better than expected, but the message gets heavy-handed fast. It’s watchable, just forgettable compared to the season’s stronger outings.
