Our Review

The R-rated Harley breakout: after finally dumping the Joker, Harley sets out to join the Legion of Doom and build her own crew — with Poison Ivy (the show’s real love story, slow-burned with genuine care), King Shark, Clayface, and Doctor Psycho. Kaley Cuoco’s Harley is a fully realized antihero: chaotic, funny, genuinely damaged, and slowly growing into self-awareness.

The show’s satire of DC’s own mythology is its engine: Batman’s a sad rich weirdo, the Justice League’s an org chart, and the villain community has HR problems. The voice cast (Diedrich Bader’s Batman, Alan Tudyk doing double duty as Joker and Clayface, Ron Funches’s King Shark) is elite, and Ivy’s wedding gave the show its biggest gut-punch. Later seasons wobble but stay funnier than anything else in DC’s adult-animation slate.

Verdict: Watch it. The best thing to happen to Harley since BTAS created her.
