Our Review
Pendleton Ward (Adventure Time) and Duncan Trussell’s psychedelic experiment: Clancy, a spacecaster who interviews beings across dying worlds, each episode a real podcast conversation (Trussell’s actual interviews about death, meditation, grief, and magic) overlaid on maximalist animation, and the show is genuinely unlike anything else: half cosmic sitcom, half philosophy seminar.
The finale. Trussell’s real conversation with his dying mother, animated as a…, is one of the most devastating pieces of animation ever made. A beautiful, weird, deeply humane trip.
Verdict: Watch it. Take the trip.
