Our Review
The MCU’s sitcom: a half-hour legal comedy about Jennifer Walters (Tatiana Maslany, doing the heavy lifting with a CG-green grin), a lawyer who becomes a Hulk and chooses to keep practicing superhuman law. The register is Ally McBeal with gamma radiation: cases of the week, fourth-wall asides, and a dating-life subplot that’s genuinely funny.
The finale’s meta-swipe (Jen entering the Disney+ menu to confront the show’s own writers’ room — the most divisive thirty seconds in MCU TV) is either the show’s thesis or its surrender. The Daredevil cameo (Cox back, charming), the revenge-porn Intelligencia plot (dark, timely, handled awkwardly), and Jameela Jamil’s influencer-villain Titania fill out the run. It’s slight, it’s fun, and it’s the MCU trying a genre on for size — the rare experiment that knows exactly how big it wants to be: human-scale.
Verdict: Watch it for Maslany. The MCU’s breeziest series.
