M.O.D.O.K.
Our Review
Patton Oswalt voices the giant floating head with tiny limbs — a mid-tier Marvel villain going through a divorce, running a failing evil organization, and attending therapy. The stop-motion (from the Robot Chicken studio) is craft of the highest order, and the show is a workplace/family sitcom where the workplace is A.I.M. and the family is held together by supervillain child support.
Aubrey Plaza as the goth daughter, Melissa Fumero as the… the jokes hit more than they miss for comics fans (the deep-cut references are loving), and the finale commits to its midlife-crisis heart. Canceled after one season — a casualty of the Marvel Television/Studios consolidation. A hidden gem for Robot Chicken fans and Marvel completists.
Verdict: Watch it — the stop-motion Marvel sitcom you didn’t know you needed.
