The Expanse — Season 3
Season 3 Review
As the Rocinante crew digs deeper into the search for Prax’s missing daughter, the war between Earth and Mars turns deadly in ways the solar system has never seen. But a new threat in the outer reaches of the Belt could prove much more dangerous, threatening to test the very future of humanity.
Season Review
The best season: the Ring gate opens, and everything humanity thought it knew about its place in the universe collapses. The slow-zone sequence (the speed limit, the Marine boarding, Holden’s vision) is mind-expanding sci-fi executed with feature quality, and the political fallout (Errinwright’s war, the UN-Mars conflict) gives it stakes on the human scale. Avasarala vs. Errinwright, Bobbie Draper’s arc (the best new character), and the finale’s Ring transit are the peak of the whole series.
