Season 4 is the grief season: Chuck is dead, Jimmy is frozen in guilt he can’t name, and the show mines that silence for its most cinematic stretch, the German construction of Gus’s lab is a whole silent film. Kim’s arc (the pro bono pivot, the car crash recklessness) turns her into the show’s colead tragedy. Jimmy’s exit interview. “S’all good, man”, christens Saul Goodman at the exact moment he’s hollowed out.
