Season Review

The perfect ending: the Day of Black Sun’s failed invasion, Zuko’s redemption arc (his joining the Gaang, his field trip with Aang, his Agni Kai with Azula, a villain defeated by her own unraveling), the Ember Island Players (a recap episode as meta comedy-tragedy), and the four part finale: Sozin’s Comet, the lion turtle, energybending, and Aang’s refusal to kill Ozai, the boldest moral choice in kids’ TV history. Every thread resolves; the final tea shop scene is the warmest ending ever animated.
