Season Review

The foundation season: Aang wakes from the iceberg, the world’s stakes are established, and Zuko’s hunt begins. It’s the most kid focused season (the filler-y early episodes), but the seeds are all there, the genocide backstory, Iroh’s quiet grief, the Winter Solstice finale giving us the spirit world and Aang’s Avatar State. The Storm (Zuko’s backstory) is the first legendary entry episode, and the finale’s siege of the North ( Zhao vs. the Ocean Spirit, Yue’s sacrifice) is the first sign of the epic it becomes.
