Toho has marked 10 years of My Hero Academia with a new version of “You Say Run,” the show’s signature theme, pairing composer Hayashi Yuki with German band Electric Callboy. The track debuted live at the My Hero Academia in Concert stop in London on September 20 and hits streaming platforms worldwide on September 22.
Electric Callboy, known for “Hypa Hypa” and the Babymetal team up “Ratatata,” folds the original orchestral arrangement into their blend of pop hooks and metalcore energy. Hayashi wrote English lyrics for the anniversary version, and Bones Film marked the release with a fresh illustration of Deku mid Smash that mirrors the Season 1 soundtrack cover.
