9-1-1: Nashville Season 2 Premiere Ends With Tribute to Chad Lowe’s Daughter Fiona

The 9-1-1: Nashville season 2 premiere closed with an on-air title card honoring Fiona Lowe, the 13-year-old daughter of executive producer Chad Lowe, who died last month.

The season 2 premiere of 9-1-1: Nashville ended with a tribute to Fiona Lowe, the daughter of executive producer and director Chad Lowe. The episode, titled Going Rogue, aired October 15 on ABC and closed with an on-screen title card reading In Loving Memory, Fiona Lowe, shown alongside a photo of her.

Lowe directed the season 2 opener. He and his wife Kim Painter announced last month that Fiona died on September 29 at age 13. In a joint statement they said the family was deeply heartbroken by the loss of their beloved Fiona, and described her as smart, creative and someone who loved to dance.

The cast and crew of the ABC drama joined in honoring her memory as the series returned for its second season. The tribute ran before the credits of the premiere, giving the show’s return a solemn close.
