Episode Summary & Review
Summary
After a crushing loss leaves Wrexham spiraling at Christmas time, a giant FA Cup matchup against a Premier League opponent gives goalie Arthur Okonkwo a shot at redemption. Off the pitch, we catch up with midfielder Ollie Rathbone and Welsh translator Maxine Hughes.
Our Take
A really strong Christmas episode that earns its sentimental streak. Okonkwo’s bounce-back arc after the ugly loss is handled well, and Rathbone’s segment gives the show some of the low-key charm it does best. Maxine Hughes remains a quietly fun presence. It drags a bit in the middle stretch, but the Cup tie delivers real tension. Worth your time, easily one of the better hours this season.
