Summary
King Ecbert proposes a deal to the Vikings in the Season 3 premiere. Later, Ragnar leads his forces into battle.
Our Take
Season 3 opens with a lot of table-setting, and the slower stretches in Wessex do test your patience. Still, the groundwork pays off once the fighting starts, and Ragnar’s quiet scheming keeps things interesting even when the plot is just shuffling pieces around. A decent premiere, not a thrilling one, but it gets the season pointed in the right direction.
