Summary
Aslaug prepares to give birth; Ragnar, Horik and Lagertha set sail for Wessex.
Our Take
A slower, moodier hour that mostly builds toward the Wessex campaign, but the character work carries it. Aslaug’s storyline turns genuinely unsettling, and Ragnar’s scenes with Horik simmer with distrust that pays off later. The pacing drags a bit in the middle stretch, though the strong closing beats make up for it. Worth your time, especially if you’ve been enjoying the political maneuvering this season.
