Summary
A Viking warrior seeks approval from his community’s leader in the opener of this series chronicling the medieval adventures of a band of Norsemen.
Our Take
A solid pilot that does the heavy lifting of introducing Ragnar and his world without feeling like a history lecture. The violence and ritual stuff lands well, and Travis Fimmel has an odd, watchable presence even this early. Some of the dialogue is clunky and the pacing drags in spots, but it sets the hook well enough.
