Summary

Vash and Knives, and their respective allies, face off in a final faceoff at the crash site where it all started.

Our Take

The payoff the whole series has been building toward, and it actually delivers. The Vash and Knives confrontation lands emotionally in ways action climaxes usually don’t, with animation that goes all out when it counts. A few side characters get shortchanged in the shuffle, but that’s a minor complaint. This is the kind of episode you’ll rewatch just to catch the details. Absolutely worth it.
