Our Take
A solid season opener that mostly coasts on the Optimus Prime nostalgia of having him back on the team, though the friction between him and Bumblebee’s leadership actually gives it some bite. The new Decepticon threat feels like business as usual, and the cliffhanger ending is a cheap move for a kids’ show this episodic. Fine if you’re already watching, nothing to pull in newcomers.
