Top Gear Goes Caravanning

Episode Summary & Review

Summary

Jeremy, Richard and James have all poured scorn on caravans and those who choose to spend their weekends in them. Now the team have to swallow their pride as they embark on a caravan holiday in Dorset. Three hot saloons burn rubber on the test track, and the Stig attempts to find out how fast you can drive a car indoors! Plus actor Brian Cox is the Star in a Reasonably Priced Car.

Our Take

This is Top Gear at its silly best, with the caravan holiday turning into a proper comedy of errors as the three hosts fail spectacularly at a hobby they’ve spent years mocking. The indoor speed test is a fun bit of nonsense too, though the saloon reviews feel like filler between the crashes. Worth it just to watch James May lose his temper at a pitch-perfect pace.
