Summary
Chihara-kai attempt to regroup after a devastating shootout. Jake, Katagiri, and Nagata pursue a tip from Samantha.
Our Take
A heavy, mostly quiet hour that lets the aftermath of the shootout breathe, and it’s better for it. The clan politics crackle as loyalties get tested, and the detective side of the story finally picks up real momentum. Some of Jake’s scenes feel like marking time, but the tension in every yakuza conversation carries the episode. Worth your time, easily one of the season’s best.
