Summary
Tim Roth stars in a revenge driven thriller as an alcoholic little town police chief whose life is shattered by unspeakable tragedy.
Our Take
A grim, stylish opener that leans hard on Tim Roth’s unhinged charm to paper over some cartoonish villains and a premise that strains belief. The mountain-town setting does a lot of work, and the tone shifts between dark comedy and straight violence mostly land, though the pacing sags in the middle. Worth a look if you like your crime dramas mean and weird.
