Time of Death

Episode Summary & Review

Summary

Officer Nolan and Officer Bishop respond to a silent alarm call at a local convenience store where two men are attempting to rob the place. Officer Nolan pursues one of the suspects on foot and is forced to make a split second decision that will affect both of their lives. Meanwhile, Officer Bishop helps coordinate a drug bust that hits a little too close to home for Officer Bradford.

Our Take

This is a tense hour that finally gives Nolan a real consequence to sit with, and Nathan Fillion handles the aftermath better than the show usually asks him to. The Bradford drug bust subplot mostly fills time until it doesn’t, but the last ten minutes land hard. Worth watching even if the show’s procedural instincts still sometimes get in the way.
