Summary
Starting over isn’t easy, especially for small town guy John Nolan who, after a life altering incident, is pursuing his dream of being a police officer.
Our Take
A pretty standard cop-show setup, but Nathan Fillion’s charm sells the fish-out-of-water premise better than it deserves. The pilot leans hard on “oldest rookie in the LAPD” jokes and skimps on the supporting cast, though the training officer dynamic shows promise. It’s a decent, easy watch if you like procedural comfort food, just don’t expect anything fresh.
