Summary
After the crew saves a stranded ship and its attractive captain, Ed becomes smitten with the Orville’s new guest, while Kelly suspects all is not what it seems. Meanwhile, Gordon attempts to teach Isaac the art of pulling off a practical joke.
Our Take
A fairly standard “mysterious guest with a secret” episode that borrows a lot from Star Trek without adding much new. The time travel twist lands well enough and Charlton’s Pria has decent chemistry with Ed, but the practical joke subplot with Isaac mostly just fills time. An okay hour overall, worth it if you’re already on board with the season.
