Summary
After abandoning their truck in Kansas City, Joel and Ellie attempt to escape without drawing the attention of a vindictive rebel leader.
Our Take
This is a solid road-trip hour with a great opener, “Long Long Time” playing over the radio, and the Joel and Ellie banter finally clicks into something warm and funny. The Kansas City plot is more standard stuff, though Melanie Lynskey makes her rebel leader genuinely unsettling. It ends on a cliffhanger that feels earned rather than cheap. Worth your time.
