Summary
The Grand Tour tent is in Dubai for the final show of the season in which Jeremy Clarkson pits his old fashioned Volkswagen Golf GTI against James May’s electrically powered BMW i3, Richard Hammond learns how to drift, James is forced to take part in a weird sport called winching, and the Bugatti Veyron drag races against the Porsche 918 Spyder.
Our Take
A decent finale that leans on car-nerd arguments rather than big stunts, and it mostly works. The petrol v electric spat between Clarkson and May is the highlight, even if it runs out of steam before the end. The Veyron against the 918 is fun, but Hammond’s drifting segment feels like filler. Worth a watch if you’ve stuck with the season this far.
