Our Take
A mostly table-setting premiere that spends a lot of time repositioning everyone after last season, but the Vought movie premiere satire is as sharp as ever and the Butcher twist at the end finally kicks things into gear. Homelander unraveling in public remains the show’s best trick. Slow in spots, but worth it for where it’s clearly pointing.
