Summary
Creatures of the sea are acting in strange and aggressive ways lately. It turns out Lex Luthor is undergoing an unethical, underwater experiment and has also imprisoned the legendary Aquaman. Lois and Clark must help Aquaman before a war breaks out between Earth and the City of Atlantis.
Our Take
Aquaman’s debut here is decent but feels a bit stiff, with the whole “misunderstood hero triggers a war” setup playing out exactly as you’d expect. Luthor’s scheme is appropriately slimy and the underwater visuals hold up nicely. It moves fast and never bores, though it never surprises either. Fine filler if you like the guest hero, but you won’t miss much skipping it.
