Summary
Darkseid brainwashes Superman into believing he is his adopted son. With Superman under his control, Darkseid sends him to Earth to decimate its military force.
Our Take
A dark, heavy finale that puts Superman through the wringer, and the animation sells the brainwashing arc better than most kids’ shows would dare. The action hits hard, though Darkseid’s scheme resolves a bit too neatly in the final stretch. Still worth it for the emotional weight alone.
