Summary
Still haunted by the memory of a disastrous Special Forces mission which he led in 2003, John Porter is given an opportunity to redeem himself by returning to Iraq to rescue a kidnapped TV reporter.
Our Take
A solid opener that knows exactly what kind of show it wants to be. Richard Armitage carries the flashbacks and present-day mission well, and the pacing rarely lets up. Some of the dialogue is clunky and the politics stay shallow, but the action is punchy and the redemption setup gives it just enough weight. Worth your time if you like lean military thrillers.
