Summary
When Lion coughs up a magical key, Steven goes on a quest to discover what it unlocks.
Our Take
A low-key, wandering episode that trades plot for mood, and mostly gets away with it. The desert trek with Lion has a nice dreamy pace, and the payoff is a sweet gut-punch about Steven’s need to feel chosen by his mom. It won’t stick with you like the season’s bigger episodes, but it’s a pleasant, gently sad half hour.
