Our Take
A quiet, gorgeous half-hour told mostly in silhouette and watercolor, and it earns every bit of that restraint. Ruby and Sapphire’s first fusion lands emotionally because the show keeps it small and sincere rather than turning it into a spectacle. It’s the rare episode that feels complete on its own while changing how you see the entire series. Worth anyone’s time.
