Summary
After defeating Jasper and Peridot, Steven has trouble telling Connie about his most recent adventure.
Our Take
This one leans hard on Steven’s phone gimmick, and the repetitive notifications get stale fast. The core idea, a kid avoiding a hard conversation because he’s scared of losing someone, lands well enough, and the song is a nice touch. It’s a decent bridge episode after the big Jasper fight, but mostly it just treads water until the ending.
