Summary

The Ghost crew steal a shipment of disruptor weapons to sell to crime lord Cikatro Vizago, accidentally bringing the Imperially serviced droids C-3PO and R2-D2with them in the process. Zeb objects to the mission since the same weapons were used to nearly wipe out his species, the Lasats. Agent Kallus intercepts C-3PO’s distress call and follows the Ghost to Lothal. In the ensuing duel between Zeb and Kallus, Ezra saves Zeb by using the Force to push Kallus away, allowing the crew to escape after setting the weapons to self-destruct as a diversion. Kanan returns the two droids to their rightful owner Bail Organa, who surveys R2-D2’s recordings of the rebels’ actions.

Our Take

Zeb finally gets some real weight to carry here, and the Lasat backstory gives his gruffness an actual reason to exist. The droids are fine comic relief without hijacking the whole episode, and the Kallus duel lands with genuine stakes. A solid step up from the premiere that shows this crew can do more than banter.
