Episode Summary & Review
Summary
Seven of Nine and Chakotay crash land on an isolated planet section that has been shielded from the rest of the inhabitants where they are surrounded by a primitive tribe of hunter gatherers.
Our Take
A quiet, thoughtful hour that leans on Seven’s growing humanity rather than phaser fire. The culture clash with the Ventu is handled with restraint, and Jeri Ryan does good work playing someone forced to be a student instead of an expert. It moves slowly and the B-plot with Tom is filler, but the core story sticks with you.
